Formerly known under the name of Varysys Technologies GmbH & Co. KG, Stuttgart, the company was renamed to Funkwerk IP-Appliances GmbH of the beginning of 2007. Since its affiliation to the Funkwerk Enterprise Communication GmbH, headquarters of the Funkwerk IP-Appliances GmbH are located in Nuremberg, Germany.
Funkwerk IP-Appliances GmbH develops first-class products for network security. With its product lines funkwerk packetalarm IDS and funkwerk packetalarm IPS the company offers systems for intrusion detection and intrusion prevention.
Also belonging to the company’s product range is the Unified Threat Management system family funkwerk UTM, which is distributed by Funkwerk Enterprise Communications.
